As a senior portrait photographer, there are moments that truly stand out, and my recent session in Sonoma was one of those unforgettable experiences. I had the absolute pleasure of working with Sara, an incredible senior from Sonoma State University, capturing memories in some of the most beautiful locations Northern California has to offer. Her mom found me through Instagram and loved my worked and reserved her session. We planned this session for months and then the weekend finally came.
Embracing the Majestic Redwoods
Our day began in the serene embrace of the redwood forests. We visited Armstrong Redwoods State National Reserve. https://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=450 These towering giants provided a breathtaking backdrop, perfectly encapsulating the sense of growth and resilience that our graduate embodied. Among the soft, filtered light and the earthy scent of the woods, we captured moments of reflection and joy. The redwoods, with their timeless presence, symbolized the strength and wisdom gained throughout her academic journey.

Seaside Serenity at the Beach
Next, we made our way to the stunning Sonoma coastline. The beach offered a completely different, yet equally captivating setting. With the waves crashing in the background and the golden sand beneath our feet, the energy shifted to a more playful and relaxed vibe. The ocean breeze and the expansive horizon provided the perfect metaphor for the limitless possibilities that lie ahead for this bright graduate. Sara wanted to capture the memories with her dog. So, we did just that. Her sweet dog came along and was in a lot of the photos. Even got one by himself.

Finally, we returned to where it all began: the beautiful campus of Sonoma State University. Walking through the familiar pathways and iconic landmarks, we revisited the place that had been her home for the past few years. The blend of architectural beauty and lush greenery on campus provided a picturesque scene for our final shots. It was a poignant reminder of the hard work, dedication, and countless memories made throughout her time at university. We met up with her sorority sisters and had some fun!
