Thanks for following along and reading my post. I hope to give you some great location ideas on where to shoot your Senior Portraits. I had went to Montana over the summer and captured this amazing look. You do not have to travel out of CA to find a look like this. You can find this in Venice Beach, Downtown Pomona, the LA art district too. Some of my shoots that I have done at Venice Beach for clothing lines have been featured in magazines. The colors are vivid and you will find a lot of artists there promoting their art.
Now, if you are wanting some softer colorful looks with more of a simpler vibe then look no further than the nature centers and parks. Some great ones local are Yorba Regional Park, Mission San Juan Capistrano, Irvine Regional Park ,Glen Arbor Park, Thomas Riley Wilderness Park, Jeffrey Open Space Trail, Riverwalk Park, Oak Canyon Nature Center, and Chino Creek Wetlands. I love these locations since there is so much space to shoot with. Even if there are other photographers you will most likely be out of anyone’s way. I do however recommend bringing a pair of flats with you while you are walking. Some of the areas have rocks and you want to make sure you are safe while walking.
You can also do your photographs at your high school or college where you will be graduating from. This is a terrific way to showcase some of the memories you had at the school you had spent so much time at. (Well unless you are a Covid-19) then that may be different. So don’t be afraid to show some school spirit and wear your college shirts or letterman jackets.

Lastly, if you are one of my clients you most likely will be shooting at the Beach. I live at the beach any chance I get. My favorite areas to photograph are in Laguna. Some places that are my favorite are by the Montage Resort, Treasure Island, Monarch Resort, Victoria Beach, Shaw’s Cove, Newport Beach, Lido Island Marina, Corona Del Mar and Pismo Beach. You will want to make sure you get the permit needed to photograph at these beaches. Also you can have fun playing with style and wardrobe at the beach. Be your self and have fun.
